Shell and Kroger launch next phase of Shell's Grocer Rewards program

Shell and Kroger Co, the nation's largest traditional supermarket retailer, will launch the next phase of our exclusive consumer loyalty grocer rewards program on
Monday, February 15.

This exciting reward program provides shoppers the opportunity to earn savings on high-quality fuels, including the patented Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines, when using their Kroger family of brands loyalty card at the supermarket register. The program offers consumers the option to redeem their Kroger Fuel Points through a price "roll-back" experience at the pump utilizing the Shell Rewards proprietary software platform. We will initially roll out the grocer rewards program with Kroger Co. in Cincinnati, Dayton, Knoxville, Nashville and San Diego. Customers in participating markets can earn a minimum of 10 cents/gallon savings for every 100 Fuel Points earned at Kroger and Ralphs when they use their loyalty card and will be able to redeem their Fuel Points exclusively at participating Shell stations and Kroger Fuel Centers, up to 35 gallons per fuel purchase. Offers may vary per market and plans for future rollouts of the program will be determined following the launch of these five markets.Approximately 40 percent of all U.S. households hold a Kroger family of stores loyalty card and more than 80 percent of Americans live within five miles of a Shell station. Our grocer rewards programs provide six times the coverage of any competitive alliances announced by other gasoline brands in the U.S. This leadership position gives our wholesalers and retailers the opportunity to be the exclusive brand with rights to redeem for the best grocer in their marketplace.
